On 4 November 2025, the Foundation for Management and Industrial Research (MIR) delivered the first of two specialised trainings dedicated to supporting the digital transformation of North Macedonian companies. Through a mix of presentations, practical examples and interactive exercises, participants gained a clear understanding of digital transformation and how it can improve efficiency, reduce costs and strengthen competitiveness.
Trainer Goce Džurovski, an experienced ERP consultant, guided participants through real business scenarios and actionable steps. The session explored technologies that generate the highest value for companies – including ERP, CRM, WMS, IoT, RFID and AI-based solutions – with a focus on their practical application in the North Macedonian context. Participants also assessed the digital maturity of their organisations and received guidance on developing a phased transformation strategy, with particular attention to organisational culture and leadership as key success factors.
This training forms part of a broader initiative by MIR and its partners to support the digital development of small and medium-sized enterprises in North Macedonia. A second training, scheduled for 11 November 2025, will focus on service companies and the ways digitalisation can enhance quality, efficiency and customer engagement. The programme is organised by MIR in cooperation with the POLICY ANSWERS project and Enterprise Europe Network Macedonia, and aligns with the priorities outlined in the TwinTech Connect 2025 Communique, which stresses the importance of digital capabilities, innovation and cross-sector collaboration for Industry 4.0 and sustainable economic growth.
