The DigiQ project (Digitally Enhanced European Quantum Technology Master) offers cascade funding to support students in attending DigiQ Networking Events across Europe. The call is open from 11 February 2025 until 31 March 2026 (17:00 CET), with participation possible until the end of the programme on 30 September 2026.
This funding aims to strengthen collaboration, skills development, and community building within the European quantum technology ecosystem by enabling students to take part in in-person networking events organised by DigiQ partner institutions.
Funding is available to:
- Students enrolled in a DigiQ network, or committed to joining at the next possible intake
- Recent graduates of a DigiQ Master programme holding a DigiQ network certification
Applicants are assessed based on their academic performance, engagement in the DigiQ environment, and the quality of their motivation and CV.
What is funded
Students can receive financial support for:
- Travel costs (up to €500)
- Accommodation and subsistence (up to €200 per day)
The maximum funding per event is €1000, and each student may receive support for up to two in-person networking events per year, with a total maximum of €2000 per student. Overall, funding is available for up to 925 event participations across the DigiQ consortium.
How to apply
Networking events are advertised by the hosting institutions via the DigiQ platform. Students are required to submit:
- A CV
- A motivation letter
If funding is not available from the event host, students should contact their local DigiQ coordinator to explore alternative funding options within the consortium.
Selection and inclusion
Selection is carried out by DigiQ mobility panels and follows clear eligibility, excellence, and diversity criteria. The programme places strong emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion, with dedicated measures to support underrepresented groups and ensure fair access to mobility opportunities.
By supporting participation in DigiQ Networking Events, this call enables students to expand their professional networks, engage with leading experts, and actively contribute to the future of European quantum technologies.
