The CREA-CROSS-2026-INNOVLAB call (also called Creative Innovation Lab) is a funding opportunity under the Creative Europe Programme of the European Commission, aimed at supporting cross-sectoral innovation in the cultural and creative sectors, with a compulsory focus on the audiovisual sector and at least one additional sector such as music, books, or museums.
The call seeks to finance projects that design, develop and spread innovative tools, models or solutions that strengthen the competitiveness, sustainability, visibility and circulation of European audiovisual and cultural content. It encourages:
- Cross-sector collaboration between audiovisual and other creative sectors
- Use of emerging technologies (e.g., AI, big data, blockchain, virtual worlds)
- Tools or approaches that enhance production, financing, distribution, audience engagement and environmental sustainability for European content industries
- Integration of Green Deal and New European Bauhaus priorities, such as reducing environmental impact and promoting inclusive, sustainable cultural practices
Eligible applicants include public or private legal entities established in countries participating in the Creative Europe Programme, typically EU Member States, Creative Europe participating countries, and associated nations. Projects may be submitted by single organisations or consortia, and must demonstrate a strong cross-sectoral approach.
