Bosnia and Herzegovina National Contact Point System for Horizon Europe

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the NCP system for Horizon Europe is coordinated at state level by the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Given the country’s complex governance structure, NCP responsibilities are distributed among institutions and experts across entities and Brčko District, ensuring thematic coverage.

The system functions as a decentralised network of thematic NCPs who provide support on proposal development, consortium building and interpretation of EU programme rules. Efforts have been made to improve coordination and visibility, including training through European NCP networks and alignment with European Research Area priorities. Capacity-building remains central to increasing participation success rates.
