Area Science Park, the largest science and technology park in Italy, has announced two fixed-term opportunities for Technologists (Professional Level III under the National Collective Labour Agreement for Education and Research). These positions offer the chance to contribute to cutting-edge projects in innovation, energy transition, and advanced materials research.
- Profile A – Project Manager for Innovation Processes (24 months)
The selected candidate will join the Business Support Office, providing technical-scientific support, project management, and strategic development in innovation initiatives, particularly in the fields of renewable energy and hydrogen..
Area Science Park plays a key role in advancing the energy transition through the creation of an integrated hub for research, testing, and innovation in hydrogen technologies. This vision is embedded in broader territorial ecosystems, including the North Adriatic Hydrogen Valley and North Adriatic Smart Communities Hydrogen Accelerator initiatives.
Ongoing activities include the development of research infrastructures for green hydrogen, pilot plants for renewable hydrogen production and storage, applied materials research, and socio-economic analysis of industrial and green value chains. - Profile B – Technical-Scientific Support for European Projects and Research Infrastructures (12 months)
This role is based in the Laboratory of Electron Microscopy (LAME), where the Technologist will support project management, innovation activities, and the strategic development of European research projects.
Established in 2022, LAME focuses on the advanced characterisation of materials and operates within the Open Lab Innovative Materials. The laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation, including a double-corrected transmission electron microscope (TEM) with advanced analytical capabilities. Its research spans nanoscience and nanotechnology, in close collaboration with leading infrastructures such as Elettra Sincrotrone and FERMI, as well as with academic and industrial partners on site.
Aligned with European standards, LAME also promotes open access to its facilities, supporting competitive research programmes from both academic and industrial users across Europe.
Candidates must hold a PhD relevant to the position or have at least three years of professional or research experience following a Master’s degree in a related field. Proficiency in both Italian and English is required, along with familiarity with standard IT applications.
