Strengthening the capacity of the SME sector for the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in business

The Mihajlo Pupin Institute is inviting applications for a team of experts to develop and deliver a series of AI training workshops for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Serbia, under the POLICY ANSWERS project.

The training programme consists of up to 4 one-day workshops to be held in up to 4 cities in Serbia. Each workshop is structured into two 90-minute sessions. The working language is Serbian.

The service should cover the basics of AI in a business-oriented way, introduce AI assistants and agents, and use interactive and web-based learning tools. Participants will receive practical recommendations for integrating AI into their business processes.

Expected Results (Deliverables)

The selected expert team is expected to provide: a draft and final training agenda with supporting materials; implementation of up to 4 live workshops by 30 April 2026; interactive learning tools and materials; and a 2-4 page summary report with key observations and recommendations.

Budget

The maximum budget is 2,348,000 RSD (approx. 20,005 EUR at the official EC exchange rate of 1 EUR = 117.37 RSD), covering service fees, travel expenses, per diems, and material production costs.

Eligibility

Applicants must be a team of at least two certified experts with a university degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 3 years of experience in digital transformation training. At least one successfully completed AI training must be documented. Trainers must hold a certificate from the Center for Digital Transformation of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce or equivalent, and a Certified AI Manager certificate (Austrian Standards, P85:2024-10-23) or equivalent.

Application documents

Applications must include: a service fee specification; CVs of all experts; a concept note with a draft training programme and proposed timeframe; a list of references; and a presentation demonstrating the interactive learning tools to be used.
