The Institute of Economic Sciences (IEN) is a scientific research institution based in Belgrade, Serbia, with nearly sixty-five years of history in cutting-edge economic research at national and international level.
IEN has established a strong reputation in research and innovation policy and is committed to fostering interdisciplinary exchange between academia, industry, non-governmental organisations, and government. Its
applied research work has attracted funding from a diverse range of organisations including the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre, Horizon 2020, Interreg IPA CBC, UNDP, HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation, and
the Regional Research Promotional Program of the Western Balkans. IEN’s combination of analytical depth and policy relevance makes it a central node for R&I policy support in Serbia and the wider region. In POLICY
