Description of the programme/policy
The Smart Start programme is an early-stage investment programme aimed at providing financial support and mentoring to innovative start-ups with a focus on technology and ICT. It is implemented by the Innovation Fund of the Republic of Serbia, which is a state-owned organization established with the goal of promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in the country.
Main objective of the programme/policy
The main objective of the Smart Start programme is to identify and support innovative start-ups with high growth potential in their early stages, and to help them develop and commercialize their products or services. The programme provides financial support in the form of non-refundable grants, as well as access to mentorship, business development services, and networking opportunities.
