The Institute for East European Studies hosts an annual International PhD Conference in East European Studies, bringing together young researchers from all over the world to present their work on various aspects of Eastern Europe. The conference provides a platform for exchange of ideas and networking opportunities for PhD students working on the region, and encourages interdisciplinary and comparative research. The conference is supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and is open to the public.
