The European Innovation Council (EIC) is a flagship innovation programme addressing the deep tech industry. It aims to support the commercialisation of high-risk, high-impact technologies by providing funding, networking opportunities, and business acceleration services to researchers, start-ups, and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The funding opportunities offered by the EIC include:
- EIC Pathfinder, which supports research on radically new technologies;
- EIC Transition, which funds innovation activities beyond proof of concept;
- EIC Accelerator, which provides substantial financial support for the development and scale-up of game-changing innovations.
Additionally, the EIC offers business acceleration services, including coaching, mentoring, and access to investors and corporates, to help innovators bring their ideas to market.
