The Innovation Fund of Montenegrannounced a Public Call for the Programme for the Verification of Innovative Concepts. This programme is designed to support innovation in the early stages of research, providing pre-commercial capital for the technical and commercial verification of innovative concepts, and strengthening the capacity and capabilities of the private sector and scientific research institutions for research, development, and innovation.
The total value of the call is EUR 350,000, with individual grants ranging from EUR 20,000.00 to EUR 40,000.00.
The public call and the necessary application documentation are available on the Fund’s website (www.fondzainovacije.me).
Eligible applicants under this Programme are:
- Economic companies that fall into the categories of micro, small, and medium enterprises.
- Scientific research organisations.
The programme will support projects in the early stage of technological readiness, from TRL3 to TRL4, focusing on projects with clearly defined expected results. The director of the Innovation Fund, Bojana Femić Radosavović, emphasised the importance of this programme: “Innovations are the key to economic development and competitiveness. This programme finances the early stage of idea development, which should demonstrate whether it is profitable to invest in the further development of that idea and whether it has commercial potential. That is why the competition provides financing for high technological risk projects. Successful projects give investors confidence that the process is technically feasible and that the prototype is functional.”
Applications must be submitted by 30 September 2024 at 3:00 p.m. through the Fund’s portal at www.programifonda.me.
The Fund is organising an Info Day about this call, which will be held online via the Zoom application, on Thursday, 1 August, from 10 a.m. During the online Info Day, details of the programme will be presented, and instructions will be provided for completing applications. The link to attend will be published on the Fund’s website and social networks. Additionally, anyone interested in support can join the online Open House, held every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., also via Zoom.
