Resource Center for Gender-Responsive Policy Making and Budgeting

he Resource Center for Gender-Responsive Policy Making and Budgeting was established by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy (MLSP) in partnership with the UN Women office in North Macedonia (Government Decision of the Republic of North Macedonia for the establishment of the Resource Center).

The Center aims to assist the Republic of North Macedonia in its efforts for the systematic and sustainable application of gender-responsive budgeting as a tool in policy making and budget processes.

The Resource Center provides training to enhance the capacities of public servants in the area of gender equality and gender-responsive budgeting.

It serves as a knowledge hub, offering research, analysis, and other resources related to gender equality and gender-responsive budgeting.

The Resource Center provides mentoring and support for the integration of the gender perspective in public financial management, strategic planning, and policy making of state institutions.

The Center operates in dedicated spaces at the MLSP in central Skopje and through this online platform.

The Resource Center for Gender-Responsive Policy Making and Budgeting was launched by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy as part of the project “Promoting Gender-Responsive Policies and Budgets: Towards Transparent, Inclusive, and Accountable Governance in the Republic of North Macedonia,” implemented by UN Women, with financial support from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency – Sida.
