The first phase of the public call for supporting micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in investing in renewable energy systems has successfully concluded. This initiative, aimed at promoting self-consumption of electricity through photovoltaic (PV) systems, is part of Kosovo*’s ongoing efforts to encourage renewable energy use and reduce reliance on traditional energy sources.
In this phase, the Ministry of Economy received 67 applications from SMEs for photovoltaic systems, and 8 beneficiaries have already been selected, with a total financial support of €44,200. The remaining applications are currently undergoing verification.
For households, the program also supports investments in PV systems. During the first phase, 445 applications were submitted, and 29 beneficiaries were announced, receiving a total of €45,750 in financial support. The rest of the applicants are still in the verification process.
