The official launch of the Social Psychology of Transformation (SPOT) Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Programme marks a significant step in advancing academic training in social psychology. This two-year programme, co-funded by the European Union, is a collaboration among seven leading universities across Europe.

The SPOT programme, which begins its first semester at IPU Berlin, aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills to tackle pressing societal challenges. Its focus areas include transformative leadership, conflict resolution, cooperation management, and environmental psychology.

Participants will study at three of the partner universities, with opportunities for internships and research at additional institutions. The partner universities include:

  • IPU Berlin (Germany)
  • ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon (Portugal)
  • Università degli Studi di Padova (Italy)
  • University of Banja Luka (Bosnia and Herzegovina)
  • University of Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina)
  • University of Niš (Serbia)
  • Tallinn University (Estonia)

Up to 20 scholarships are available each year for outstanding students, enabling access to a dynamic curriculum co-taught by experts from the partner institutions. This unique blend of in-person and online learning ensures that students receive a diverse and comprehensive education.

Graduates of the SPOT programme will be well-prepared for careers in social policy, community psychology, organisational consulting, research, and psychosocial interventions. The qualification also meets the requirements for practising psychology in various countries, enhancing career prospects globally.

This collaborative initiative not only provides an unparalleled educational experience but also strengthens the field of social psychology, with graduates poised to make significant contributions in addressing societal challenges.
