Erasmus+ Call: Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) to Transform Vocational Education and Training

Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) are part of the EU’s strategy to enhance vocational education and training (VET) by fostering innovation, skills development, and social inclusion. These centres aim to adapt to economic and social needs, support green and digital transitions, and drive local and regional development.

Objectives:

  • Provide high-quality, flexible, and learner-centred VET.
  • Promote innovation, social inclusion, and sustainability.
  • Foster collaboration between VET institutions and industries.
  • Ensure long-term impact through scalable and sustainable projects.

Key Features:

  1. Local and International Networks: CoVEs collaborate locally and internationally to create skills ecosystems, address societal challenges, and share best practices.
  2. Holistic Approach: CoVEs integrate regional development, innovation, and smart specialisation strategies, while working closely with education sectors, businesses, and research institutions.
  3. Focus Areas:
    • Teaching and Learning.
    • Cooperation and Partnerships.
    • Governance and Funding.

Eligibility:

  • Open to public or private organisations active in VET or related sectors.
  • Minimum consortium: 8 organisations from at least 4 EU or associated countries, including one enterprise and one VET provider.
  • Projects must address VET at various EQF levels (3–8) and include work-based learning.

Funding & Application:

  • Duration: 48 months.
  • Call ID: ERASMUS-EDU-2025-PEX-COVE.
  • Deadline: 11 June 2025, 17:00 CET.
  • Applications must be submitted via the EU Funding & Tenders Portal.
