The Public Call for Collaborative Grants was open from 29 May to 2 September 2024, with the Fund providing a total budget of €1,000,000 to support innovative projects.
A total of 32 applications were submitted for the Public Call, of which 28 passed the administrative review and were sent for international evaluation. The evaluation process was conducted in two rounds. In the first round, each project proposal was assessed by two members of the evaluation committee from the relevant technological field, selected from the Fund’s evaluator database. After this phase, 21 projects met the pass criteria and qualified for the second round of evaluation. In the second round, teams had the opportunity to present their ideas live and answer questions from the international three-member expert committee. At the end of this phase, the scores from both rounds were summed, and the expert committee recommended 6 projects for grant allocation.
In accordance with the Fund’s procedures, the final decision on funding was made based on the proposed ranking list from the Commission, after budget negotiations, and confirmation that all administrative conditions for contract signing were met.
According to the terms of the Public Call, the value of individual grants ranged from €50,000 to €200,000, enabling the Fund to finance the 6 highest-rated projects, with a total allocated support of €941,111.61.
