The European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) has released “JRC Essentials: Tools and Practices for Countries and Regions” booklet. It showcases the JRC’s tools available to stakeholders from government, central and local administration, academia, and other research organisations, exemplified by best practices in the Member States.
It is structured into three parts:
- Introduction to the JRC, this part includes an overview on its mission, core strengths, institutional networks, scientific portfolios, collaboration agreements, and science-for-policy approach.
- Thematic chapters: 21 chapters illustrate different topics in line with the JRC’s priorities and composition of portfolios
- List of resources: the JRC can provide for resources for scientific development:
Through its unique range of activities, including research, development, and innovation, as well as training and capacity-building programmes, the JRC offers its services to all actors in the Member States and beyond. The tool was also introduced to the Steering Platform for Research and Innovation.
