Montenegro’s Research and Education Network (MREN) held a constitutive session on 9 May 2025 at the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation to elect its new Board. Božo Krstajić was elected as the President of the Board, while Enis Kočan, Marica Melović, Aleksandar Popović, Tomo Popović, Maja Delibašić were appointed as members.
The Board and Ministry discussed priorities for expanding the MREN network, connecting more universities nationally and to the pan-European GÉANT network. Plans to introduce eduGAIN in Montenegro were also reviewed, aiming to give users secure access to global R&E services.
The session underscored the strategic importance of strengthening MREN for the digitalisation and international integration of Montenegro’s research and education sector.
