NanoBalkan 2025 Unites Science, Innovation and Industry in Pristina

The NanoBalkan 2025 workshop marked a major milestone in regional cooperation for nanoscience, innovation and industry, bringing together top researchers, young scientists, and industry leaders from across the Western Balkans.

Held in Pristina and organised under the EU-funded NanoKos and SUSNANO initiatives, the event showcased cutting-edge research and fostered cross-sector collaboration to shape the future of nanotechnology in the region.

Young researchers and interns shared their experiences from placements at King’s College London (via NanoKos) and Graz University, contributing to regional knowledge exchange and capacity building.

Representatives from TrePharm, Kosovo Medicine Agency, Nanodistribution Company, Nuanca Group (Nasiol), Albchrome Shpk, Teoren Water Treatment, and Alpha Studio offered insights on market needs and the role of nanotech in industrial innovation.

VentureUP, the official incubator of the University of Pristina, supported the event, continuing its mission to connect over 50,000 students to opportunities in entrepreneurship and the job market.
