Scholarship Opportunities in Slovakia for Students from North Macedonia

Students and researchers from North Macedonia can benefit from scholarships in Slovakia through a bilateral cooperation programme between the Ministry of Education and Science of North Macedonia and the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic.

The programme supports study and research mobility in fields such as natural sciences, technical sciences, medicine, agriculture, social sciences, humanities, and arts. Eligible applicants include bachelor, master’s, and PhD students, with study stays ranging from three to ten months.

The scholarship provides monthly financial support of €620 for university students and €1,025.50 for PhD candidates, covering living costs such as accommodation and meals. Travel expenses to and from Slovakia are covered by the sending country. A quota of 30 months is available under this scheme.

Applications must be submitted to the relevant ministry in North Macedonia, which will select candidates and forward nominations to the Slovak Ministry. Final approval is made in Slovakia, with successful candidates informed about further arrangements.
