Water4All 2025 Joint Transnational Call “Water and Health”

33 funding agencies from 30 countries are launching a Joint Transnational Call (JTC) for research and innovation projects on the theme “Water and Health”, under the Water4All initiative.

Focus Areas

  • Links between water quality and human health, including contaminants.
  • Development of innovative, sustainable water treatment technologies.
  • Accurate, efficient, and cost-effective monitoring for better risk assessment.
  • One Health approach – recognising connections between human, environmental, and animal health.

Objectives

Projects should advance solutions that ensure safe drinking water, effective sanitation, and improved health outcomes, while supporting EU and global strategies such as the European Green Deal, Zero Pollution Action Plan, Water Framework Directive, and the Sustainable Development Goals.

  • Stronger evidence base for policy and water management strategies.
  • Practical innovations for monitoring, prevention, and treatment.
  • Contribution to sustainable, resilient, and health-oriented water systems.
