3rd Butterfly Innovation Award by the Regional Cooperation Council

The Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) announced the 3rd edition of the Regional Butterfly Innovation Award in September 2024. This award aims to support economic development in the Western Balkans by promoting digital transformation and environmental sustainability. It encourages innovative, scalable, and market-based solutions from the region.

Eligible applicants include citizens or permanent residents of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo*, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia. The award focuses on sustainable solutions that support the twin digital and green transition. 

The Butterfly Innovation Award has the following six categories.

• Industry Innovation Award
• Green Innovation Award 
• STEM Innovation Award 
• Youth Innovation Award 
• University Innovation Award 
• Women Innovation Award 

Special consideration is given to projects addressing societal challenges and involving youth and women.

The winners will reap six financial rewards of up to €5.000 per category.

Applications are open until 10 October 2024.
