The REINFORCING initiative has launched its 6th Open Call—an Incubators Call focused on Responsible Innovation. This call invites consortia to propose projects that put into practice the principles of Open and Responsible Research and Innovation (ORRI) across Europe.
What’s the Aim?
The call seeks to stimulate institutional change by supporting organisations that integrate ORRI into their research and innovation processes. Key goals include strengthening inclusivity, transparency, anticipation, and responsiveness in innovation, especially in contexts undergoing digital and green transitions.
Who Can Apply & What’s Required
- Consortia of at least two legal entities from EU Member States or Horizon Europe-associated countries.
- The lead applicant must be relatively new to ORRI—that is, with little or no prior experience implementing ORRI practices.
- Eligible organisations: civil society organisations, NGOs, higher education institutions, research centres, SMEs, etc.
Funding & Duration
- Each selected project will receive up to €60,000 in funding.
- Duration: 12 months with a fixed start and end date – running from 15 January 2026 to 14 January 2027.
- Up to 8 consortia will be selected under this call.
What’s Expected From Projects
- Concrete outputs, including an ORRI resource/tool to be made available on the REINFORCING platform.
- Active engagement in co-creation with societal actors (citizens, stakeholders).
- Participation in all required events: online kick-off, monthly meetings, training workshops (including an on-site workshop in Brussels), mid-term review, final event, etc.
Important Dates
- Deadline for submissions: 2 December 2025.
- Project implementation period: 15 January 2026 – 14 January 2027.
