Call for Cross-border Mobilities for Young Students from Universities of the Adriatic-Ionian Region

A new internship program, Western Balkanship, has been launched, offering students from Italy, San Marino, and the Western Balkans the opportunity to gain valuable international work experience. This initiative is part of a joint project between the Forum of the Adriatic and Ionian Chambers of Commerce (Forum AIC) and UniAdrion (Association of Universities of the Adriatic-Ionian Region), and is funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative.

The Western Balkanship project is designed to promote cooperation and stability in the Adriatic-Ionian region by fostering collaboration on common values and goals. The program provides fully funded internships for students from universities within the Adriatic-Ionian area, offering scholarships for participants. Italian students will have the opportunity to intern in Western Balkan countries, including Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Greece, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Slovenia. Meanwhile, Italian companies will host students from the Eastern Adriatic coast.

This cross-border exchange aims to strengthen connections between the two regions and provide students with hands-on experience in a multicultural environment.
