New Programme to Support Incubators and Start-up Innovations in Serbia

The Innovation Fund, in cooperation with the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation, is launching a new support programme for the establishment and development of innovation incubators, with the aim of improving the start-up ecosystem in Serbia. The programme is designed to transform scientific and research organisations into dynamic innovation centres, providing students, researchers and professors with comprehensive support for the development of innovations and their successful application in the economy.

The programme provides non-refundable financial support of up to 6,000,000 dinars for the establishment of new incubators and up to 5,000,000 dinars for the improvement of existing ones. The support includes covering human resource costs, organising training, mentoring, promotion, and development of revenue models, thus ensuring the self-sustainability of the incubators. By providing comprehensive support, incubators will become a key factor in the commercialisation of innovations and in increasing market competitiveness.

The public call is open to all accredited scientific and research organisations in Serbia that have a vision for developing innovative entrepreneurship. Organisations can apply independently or in cooperation with partners, such as science and technology parks or other relevant institutions.

The deadline for submitting applications is until the allocated funds, amounting to 100,000,000 dinars, are exhausted. All necessary information and documentation are available on the Fund’s website. Applications are submitted electronically to the address: inkubatori@inovacionifond.rs.

Innovation incubators create new opportunities for the academic community, encouraging the development of innovations that can significantly contribute to the improvement of entrepreneurship. The ultimate goal of the programme is to create sustainable start-ups and strengthen cooperation between the private and academic sectors.
