Second Call to Become an EU Bioeconomy Youth Ambassador

The European Commission has opened its second call for EU Bioeconomy Youth Ambassadors, aimed at raising awareness about the sustainable circular bioeconomy and engaging young people in the opportunities it offers for society. Following the first cohort selected in 2022, the initiative seeks to renew the group of passionate ambassadors supporting Europe’s green transition.

The new EU Bioeconomy Youth Ambassadors will engage local communities, students, civil society, and decision-makers to promote the bioeconomy, using social media and public outreach. They will also contribute to EU youth and education initiatives.

Benefits of the role include participation in the sustainability transition, increased visibility for bioeconomy efforts, access to workshops and events, peer support, and collaboration with global youth representatives.

Over a two-year term, ambassadors will support EU bioeconomy promotion, contribute to EU youth policy discussions, and participate in events and physical camps with fellow ambassadors.

Eligibility requires individuals to be 18-30 years old, EU residents, passionate about bioeconomy, and committed to making a positive change. Ambassadors should also have good communication skills, be comfortable with public speaking, and fluent in English.
