This Science for Policy report provides a detailed assessment of environmental and climate conditions in Ukraine.
The study examines air quality, greenhouse gas emissions, forest and soil conditions, water resources and marine environments. It also evaluates the environmental impact of the ongoing war and identifies priority areas for sustainable reconstruction.
The report offers recommendations to support environmental governance reforms and alignment with the EU environmental acquis in the context of enlargement and long-term recovery planning.
