Framework Programmes (FP) for Research and Innovation

“Framework Programmes” (FPs) have been the main financial tools through which the European Union supports research and development activities. They used to be called by number (e.g. FP6, FP7), but the 8th Framework Programme was called “Horizon 2020”, the 9th “Horizon Europe”.
