Over a span of 48 months, the CC4WBs project aims to strengthen the cultural and creative sectors across the Western Balkans by operating at multiple levels and implementing a series of interconnected activities that produce complementary outcomes. These outcomes, driven by a unified strategic vision, are intended to enhance culture for social cohesion and sustainable development (intermediate objective) and promote reconciliation and good neighborly relations in the Western Balkans (long-term overall objective).
Specifically, by leveraging their respective strengths and competitive advantages, the three partners will support more inclusive and effective cultural policies, boost regional cultural cooperation, encourage the mobility of artists and cultural operators, increase the circulation of creative goods and services, and provide financial and technical assistance to cultural and creative industries. The project will also stimulate the protection, management, and promotion of cultural heritage and foster enhanced public-private partnerships in the cultural and creative sectors.
The action will provide a systematic, effective, and sustainable approach to drive progress across governance, policy, and operational frameworks. This will be achieved by combining policy improvement advice with data for informed decision-making, capacity-building initiatives, support for public-private partnerships, networking, and funding opportunities.
