Integrating Biodiversity into Sectoral Policies and Practices and Strengthening Key Biodiversity Areas in Montenegro

The project is funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and implemented by the Ministry of Ecology, Spatial Planning, and Urbanism in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

This geographically oriented project aims to protect ecosystems and key biodiversity areas, integrating them with the tourism, forestry, and agriculture sectors. The project’s primary goal is to provide concrete solutions for managing protected areas and critical biodiversity points through the development of relevant documentation. The second main goal is to develop and integrate best scenarios and practices into the productive sectors of tourism, forestry, and agriculture, which are located near and operate in the vicinity of protected areas.
