As part of the POLICY ANSWERS project (Work Package Capacity Building, WP3), each Western Balkans economy implements a tailored programme. For Serbia, a total of seven workshops on the topics of Green Transition and Capacity Development for the Evaluation of Scientific and Technology Projects were held between 1 June and 5 December 2024.
These workshops collectively attracted overall 109 participants.
Five workshops on Green Transition engaged 83 entrepreneurs, while two workshops on Capacity Development for the Evaluation of Scientific and Technology Projects were attended by 26 representatives from the public, private, academic and NGO sectors.
The workshops were conducted across six cities — Belgrade, Novi Sad, Čačak, Valjevo, Kruševac, and Niš — covering four regions of the Republic of Serbia: the Belgrade Region, Vojvodina Region, Šumadija and Western Serbia Region, and Southern and Eastern Serbia Region.
This series of capacity-building activities, focusing on digital transformation and the green transition, has now successfully concluded.
However, Serbia emphasises the critical importance of developing skills in evaluating and monitoring innovation projects, particularly among the academic community, decision-makers and innovative SMEs.
Therefore, these capacity-building activities will continue in 2025 with three additional workshops.
