Aleksandër Moisiu University in Durrës has emerged as a standout example of how research infrastructure can drive innovation and strengthen ties between academia and industry, thanks to its successful participation in the InfraBooster programme.
Three Albanian professionals – Uendi Çerma, Manjola Zeneli, and Frida Gjermeni – took part in the EIT InfraBooster initiative and are now paving the way for enhanced university-business collaboration. Through the programme, they explored new methods to transform the university’s research infrastructure into services that meet real-world industry needs.
InfraBooster, an EIT-labelled programme supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), offers hands-on training and expert guidance to help universities and research institutions unlock their innovation potential. It is coordinated by the Centre for Socially Responsible Innovations at the Faculty of Management of the University of Warsaw.
The programme consists of two modules:
- InfraBooster Foundation, the entry-level training
- InfraBooster Practitioner, a team-based, advanced module focused on service development
