n Info Day focused on European Union funding opportunities was held on 24 April in the Blue Hall of the Rectorate at the University of Montenegro. The event was jointly organised by the University of Montenegro (UCG) and the Ministry of Science and Technological Development (MPNI).
The gathering brought together participants from academic, private and cultural sectors, encouraging cross-sectoral networking and collaboration. Attendees explored potential partnerships and discussed ideas for upcoming projects aligned with EU support programmes.
Presentations covered several key initiatives:
- Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions – Staff Exchanges: Highlighted by national contact person Filip Petrović, this programme supports the international and cross-sectoral mobility of researchers and administrative staff to enhance research capacity and promote knowledge exchange.
- Horizon Europe Cluster 2 – Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society: Dr Sabina Osmanović and Milena Ražnatović presented opportunities in this programme, which funds research and innovation in the social sciences, culture and creative industries, with the aim of fostering inclusive societies and a shared European identity.
- COST Actions: Martina Lukić, national contact for COST, introduced this initiative which supports the formation of collaborative research networks across Europe.
- ULYSSEUS Programme: Branka Žižić, Ulysseus manager at UCG, presented this internal funding opportunity for University of Montenegro researchers, aimed at supporting joint research and innovation groups within the Ulysseus European University alliance.
The event served as a valuable platform for exchanging experiences and strengthening Montenegro’s engagement with European research, innovation and cultural initiatives.
