On 5 June 2025, NASRI hosted a successful event on Horizon Europe and MSCA at Tirana International Hotel. The event brought together 50 researchers, academics, and institutional representatives to explore participation in key European programmes.
During the Info Day the researchers showed a particular interest in the following topics:
- Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA). The majority of questions focused on Postdoctoral Fellowships, especially eligibility criteria, mobility rules, and tips for writing a competitive proposal. There was also notable curiosity about Staff Exchanges and how Albanian institutions can get more actively involved, especially from a non-academic sector perspective. Several early-stage researchers were eager to know more about Doctoral Networks and how to join existing consortia.
- Participation in Collaborative Projects under Horizon Europe Clusters. Cluster 4 (Digital, Industry & Space): Interest centered around the role of small research teams in Albania and their integration into larger European consortia. Cluster 3 (Civil Security for Society): Participants asked for more clarity on how security-related research calls could include social sciences and local challenges.
- COST Actions. Many participants were interested in how to join ongoing Actions, particularly how to become MC Members or WG participants. A few researchers also asked about the process of proposing new COST Actions and the success criteria.
