A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed in the office of the Ministry of Sport and Youth between the Ministry and the Gaming Authority.
The memorandum was signed by the Minister of Sport and Youth, Dragoslav Šćekić, and the Acting Director of the Gaming Authority, Mr Spasoje Papić.
The aim of this strategic document is to strengthen cooperation between the two institutions through joint activities focused on protecting young people from the negative effects of gambling, promoting healthy lifestyles, and developing educational and preventative programmes in the fields of sport and social responsibility.
The memorandum foresees the implementation of concrete actions across several areas, including organising educational campaigns and workshops, conducting research on the impact of gambling on young people, promoting sport as a healthy choice, and working to improve the legislative framework related to the funding of sport from gambling revenues.
Particular emphasis is placed on the need for systematic protection of minors and the joint development of policies and strategies that will contribute to creating a healthier and more responsible social environment.
