1) An initiative to set up an open-access portal
UNSA Open Access Portal: The Library of the University of Sarajevo launched an initiative to set up an open access portal at the University of Sarajevo, which brings together several online sites with scientific content published by the UNSA full member institutions, affiliated member institutions and the UNSA teaching/research sites. University member-institution libraries and libraries associated with higher education institutions support open access which implies dissemination of scientific information and free access to the end user, i.e. researcher and the general public.Â

2) An initiative to establish a catalogue of a series of publications in open-access
UNSA Open Catalogue of Publications: The Library of the University of Sarajevo launched an initiative to establish a catalogue of a series of publications in open access that are published by the UNSA member institutions (faculties, academies, research institutes and teaching/research sites) to promote open science. The Catalogue of a series of publications is now available on the university website. The main goal is to consolidate the electronic publishing activities of the University of Sarajevo in a single cloud storage available online (https://ecasopisi.unsa.ba/)
As part of activities of establishing a unique library and information system at the University level and in cooperation with the Virtual Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina (National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina), the Library of the University of Sarajevo established a unique search engine for the online catalogue of libraries of the University of Sarajevo which is supported by COBISS. The database also includes the collection of the National and University Libraries of BiH as the university teaching site. COBISS+ is aimed for all users: students, teaching staff, researchers, etc., as well as for users looking for relevant information or materials available in libraries, also if it is the case with electronic materials.
