On 11 December 2025, the Foundation for Management and Industrial Research (MIR) delivered the first of two specialised trainings on innovation management for product-based companies. Through presentations, local case examples, and interactive group work, participants gained practical insights into managing innovation systematically and turning ideas into competitive advantages.
The training covered key types of innovation, product, process, organisational, and marketing, while addressing common barriers and misconceptions that hinder innovation. Participants also worked on developing a basic innovation process model for their companies, from idea generation to implementation, and explored tools such as innovation funnels, idea management systems, and relevant KPIs.
The session concluded with individual action plans, defining concrete next steps to strengthen innovation management in participants’ organisations. The training is part of ongoing efforts by MIR and its partners to support the innovation capacity of SMEs in North Macedonia, in cooperation with POLICY ANSWERS and Enterprise Europe Network Macedonia.
