Second Round of Joint Technical-Scientific Research Calls Between Albania and Kosovo (2024-2025)
Pursuant to the Agreement for cooperation in the field of education and science, the Ministry of Education and Sport, in cooperation with the National Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation (NASRI), is implementing the second round of calls for joint technical-scientific research between Albania and Kosovo for 2024-2025.
This call was open from 24 April 2023 to 25 June 2023. Applicants from all fields of research and at all career stages, associated with a research institution, were invited to submit their joint project proposals. In the context of this call, 36 joint project proposals were submitted, out of which 16 projects were granted funding to carry out their activities.
Funding Announcement for the Programme of Infrastructure in Scientific Research (PISR) 2024
Through the call of the Programme of Infrastructure in Scientific Research (PISR) 2024, NASRI will financially support project proposals from public institutions and public higher education institutions that focus on scientific research.
The published call for PISR 2024 received 39 applications. The innovations brought by the PISR 2024 Call prioritise cooperation and co-financing, encouraging the application of project proposals which:
- Have secured financial support from other sources such as HEI’s own resources, partner HEIs, businesses, donors, etc.;
- Come as project proposals from two or more HEIs for the establishment of joint laboratories;
- Support doctoral studies projects.
NASRI’s Board of Administration has financed 22 winning projects of Scientific Research Infrastructure distributed across 8 public universities in the country, in 6 priority fields of scientific research for the year 2024.
