STP Montenegro, in collaboration with strategic partner Crnogorski Telekom, has presented Wi-Fi 7 and 50G-PON, the fastest network technologies to date introduced in Montenegro.
With speeds reaching up to 46 Gbps for Wi-Fi 7 and 50 Gbps for 50G-PON, the technologies represent a significant advancement in digital connectivity and position Montenegro among the leading countries in the region in terms of technological infrastructure.
According to the organisations, wider implementation of these technologies could support the development of innovative services and digital solutions, requiring a robust and modern digital framework.
The technologies are currently being tested at the Science and Technology Park (STP) Montenegro, which aims to strengthen its role as a national centre for digital development and transformation.
Crnogorski Telekom stated that its involvement reflects its ongoing role as a technology leader in Montenegro, contributing to the integration of advanced network solutions and the further growth of the country’s digital economy.
