A two-day “Project Management” workshop was held at the Rectorate of the University of Sarajevo on 7th and 8th November 2024. The workshop was attended by 80 representatives from all member institutions of the University of Sarajevo. It was organised to establish a structured and digital system for staff education on project management processes at the University, with the aim of improving efficiency and transparency in project implementation.
The event was organised as part of the “ProGoDigiEdu“ project: Establishing a Digital System for Staff Education on Project Activity Management Processes at the University of Sarajevo. The project is supported by the Ministry of Science, Higher Education, and Youth of Sarajevo Canton, alongside the POLICY ANSWERS, funded through the Horizon Europe programme.
On the first day, participants were introduced to the basics of the project cycle, including the process of preparing project proposals and exploring various funding opportunities for research activities. Aspects of project reporting were also discussed, particularly financial planning, report preparation, and the required documentation for tracking costs and activities within projects.
The second day focused on project management at the University of Sarajevo, covering legal and administrative aspects, planning, and the procurement of necessary resources. Additionally, ProMIS, a new digital system for project management at the University, was introduced to enable more efficient tracking of all project activities. The day concluded with a discussion on the specifics of financial reporting for project management support services.
Through this workshop, participants gained valuable information and tools to enhance their skills and capabilities in project management, with support for the effective use of digital systems in their daily activities.
