A vibrant mix of experts, ideas, and dialogue filled the Cozy Room at Public Room in Skopje on 28 May for TvinTek Konekt 2025, a key event uniting public institutions, academia, research bodies, and the private sector to strengthen technology transfer and boost innovation capacity in North Macedonia.
Organised by the Foundation for Management and Industrial Research, in collaboration with the POLICY ANSWERS project and Enterprise Europe Network Macedonia, the conference offered a dynamic platform for open exchange through two expert panels and three parallel World Café sessions.

In her opening remarks, Executive Director Gabriela Kostovska Bogoeska highlighted the goal of establishing a sustainable platform for collaboration among businesses, research institutions, and policymakers. She stressed that strategic partnerships and faster technology transfer are essential for boosting competitiveness and long-term growth.
The first panel, “Skills for Technology Transfer”, tackled the competencies needed to bring research to market. Moderated by Ana Sekulovska, the session featured contributions from Gabriela Kostovska Bogoeska, Nikola Dodov, Viktor Stojmanovski, and Radmil Polenakovic.
During the interactive World Café segment, participants engaged in group discussions focused on:
- Digital Transformation and Industry 4.0
- Green Innovations and Circular Economy
- Culture of Innovation as a Tool for Growth
Each group shared actionable insights and recommendations with the wider audience, ideas that may well shape future projects and policies.

The final panel, “Building an Inclusive Innovation Ecosystem”, underscored the value of involving a wide range of voices—including women in tech, young entrepreneurs, and local communities. Petre Lameski, Marija Janevska, and Aleksandra Manolcheva joined moderator Bojana Stanoevska Pecurovska in advocating for inclusive, collaborative innovation strategies.
The event closed with a summary of key takeaways and next steps, followed by informal networking that encouraged further collaboration and idea-sharing. TvinTek Konekt 2025 reaffirmed the importance of bringing together science, industry, and policy to unlock the full potential of innovation for sustainable development.
