The Science and Technology Park of Montenegro has successfully conducted two out of three planned trainings dedicated to supporting the development of sustainable agriculture and the food value chain. The trainings took place in:
- Berane: 4–5 March at the Regional Business Center
- Nikšić: 11–12 March at the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center Tehnopolis
The final training in this cycle is scheduled for 8–9 April at the Business Info Center in Tivat.
Training Program and Key Topics
The program is designed for agricultural producers, young entrepreneurs looking to start their own businesses in this sector, and ICT experts who can contribute innovative solutions to enhance agricultural practices.
Key topics covered in the training include:
- Starting a business in sustainable agriculture
- Business plan development and funding opportunities
- Economic and environmental sustainability of agricultural production
- Procurement of raw materials, production processes, and product placement
- Implementation of innovative solutions in agriculture
EU-Funded Training within the POLICY ANSWERS Project
The training is organised as part of the EU-funded project “R&I POLICY making, implementation ANd Support in the WEsteRn BalkanS” (POLICY ANSWERS), under the Horizon Europe programme.
Through a series of lectures and workshops, participants gained insights into sustainable agriculture principles, the economic and environmental aspects of agribusiness, business plan development, and opportunities for applying for support from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management.
