University of Prishtina Increase 66% in Research Quality in Times Higher Education (THE) Ranking

The University of Prishtina has marked a significant milestone in the 2025 Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings, recording a remarkable 66% increase in the quality of scientific research compared to 2024.

As the only public or private Albanian-speaking higher education institution included in the THE rankings since 2023, the University of Prishtina is listed among 2,000 universities from 115 countries worldwide.

In addition to research quality, UP also improved in three other key indicators used to assess global university performance:

• Research environment: +9.35%
• Industry engagement: +9.24%
• Teaching quality: +7.63%

This notable progress highlights the University of Prishtina’s growing academic influence, strengthened research output, and improved institutional performance in the international higher education landscape.
