Young professionals from Albania now have the opportunity to gain international work experience and build regional networks through the Western Balkans Young Professionals Internship Programme (WISE), which was launched in Tirana.
Supported by Germany, this programme promotes regional cooperation by offering three-month internships in businesses and NGOs across neighbouring Western Balkan countries.
EU Ambassador Silvio Gonzato, speaking at the launch event, stated, “With this initiative, Germany contributes to the EU’s efforts to support youth in Albania and the region by engaging, empowering, and connecting them.”
“Together, we amplify the voices of young people and create better opportunities for them in their home countries. Through initiatives like the Youth Guarantee and the Growth Plan, we are investing in skills, education, and employment to bridge the socio-economic gap with EU member states and to build a stronger future for the region,” Gonzato added.
