Haxhi Zeka University, with the support of the Sustainable Higher Education and Research – SHER programme, which is funded by the Austrian Development Agency, co-financed by MASHTI and implemented by the consortium involving WUS, ZSI and OeAD, organised a workshop on the topic “Innovation and digital transformation: increasing opportunities for technological integration between UHZ, partner municipalities and NGOs.”
The meeting opened with the presentation of the findings from the report of the Institute of Sciences and Arts – of the “Haxhi Zeka” University: “Identifying the needs of manufacturing, service and trade businesses,” providing a clear overview of the challenges and needs of the private sector.
Following, representatives from “Haxhi Zeka” University, partner municipalities, the business sector and non-governmental organisations shared their perspectives on the challenges and opportunities for strengthening cooperation in the function of digital transformation and innovation.
A key part of the activity was the organisation of working groups, which focused on identifying mechanisms for advancing mutual cooperation between UHZ, local institutions and the private sector. Participants developed concrete ideas, analyzed key challenges and examined capacities and potentials for development, proposing measures for the integration of innovation and technology in these sectors.
The workshop concluded with the presentation of the results of the working groups and the discussion of the next steps for the implementation of the proposed ideas. This activity marks the first step in a series of three workshops, which will culminate with the Third Conference of the Regional Economic Forum – Dukagjin (FERD), scheduled to be held in September this year.
