Representatives of the Young European Ambassadors (YEAs) network participated in the EU Clean Air Forum held on 1–2 December 2025 at the World Conference Center in Bonn. The forum brought together EU institutions, national authorities, scientists, civil society organisations, industry representatives, and youth to discuss progress and challenges in improving air quality across Europe.
The YEAs took part in high-level policy discussions at a crucial time, as key EU air quality legislation was under review. Their participation ensured that youth perspectives were included in debates on environmental protection, public health, and the future direction of EU clean air policies. The programme featured sessions on innovative approaches to air quality monitoring, including the use of Copernicus satellite data, as well as the role of artificial intelligence and machine learning in predicting and managing air pollution.
By engaging directly with policymakers and experts, the Young European Ambassadors highlighted the importance of youth involvement in environmental decision-making and reinforced their role as advocates for cleaner air and more sustainable policies across Europe and the Western Balkans.
