Young People Recognised in the “Montenegro Without Corruption” Art Competition

The Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (ASK), in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation, organised a nationwide art competition entitled “Montenegro Without Corruption” for final-year primary school pupils across Montenegro. The competition was held to mark the International Anti-Corruption Day and aimed to encourage students, through creative artistic expression, to reflect on the harmful effects of corruption and the importance of ethical and responsible behaviour.

At the award ceremony, held in the presence of pupils, their parents, and teachers, prizes were presented to the authors of the most successful artworks. The entries were evaluated by a professional jury consisting of Nina Sekulović from ASK, Borjan Radović from the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation, and academic painter Gordana Trebješanin, who particularly valued originality, authenticity, and the artistic interpretation of the theme.

The main awards were presented to:

  • First prize: Jana Brajović, Year 9 pupil at “Vuko Jovović” Primary School, Danilovgrad
  • Second prize: Sofia Stepchenko, Year 9 pupil at “Dašo Pavičić” Primary School, Herceg Novi
  • Third prize: Ognjen Andrić, Year 8 pupil at “Štampar Makarije” Primary School, Podgorica

In addition to the prize-winning works, the jury highlighted nine other entries for their creativity, original artistic solutions, and innovative ideas. In total, 220 artworks were submitted by pupils from 34 primary schools across Montenegro. The twelve awarded and selected works will be featured in the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption’s 2026 calendar.

Through joint initiatives such as this competition, ASK and the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation continue to raise awareness among young people about social responsibility, ethical values, transparency, and integrity. The institutions announced that similar initiatives will be implemented in the future through educational programmes, workshops, and ongoing cooperation with schools.
