Albanian National Contact Point System for Horizon Europe

Albania’s National Contact Point system for Horizon Europe is coordinated by the Ministry of Education and Sport of Albania, with operational responsibilities largely delegated to the National Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation (NASRI). The NCP structure covers the main pillars of Horizon Europe and associated thematic clusters, ensuring advisory support for researchers, universities, research institutes and enterprises.

The system provides guidance on proposal preparation, partner search, legal and financial rules, and information on EU policy developments. In recent years, Albania has strengthened its NCP capacities through targeted training, participation in EU-level NCP networks and closer coordination with national research funding instruments. Particular emphasis has been placed on increasing participation rates in collaborative projects and improving proposal quality.
