North Macedonia operates a comparatively well-structured NCP system under the Ministry of Education and Science of North Macedonia. The system includes a national coordinator and thematic NCPs covering the full architecture of Horizon Europe.
The country has consistently invested in capacity-building for NCPs and beneficiaries, including training workshops, information days and proposal writing support schemes. North Macedonia has demonstrated relatively strong participation in EU Framework Programmes compared to regional peers, partly due to institutional continuity and accumulated NCP experience from earlier programmes (FP7, Horizon 2020).
