Description of the programme / policy
The programme BetreuungsInitiative Deutsche Auslands- und PartnerSchulen (BIDS) works at the interface between PASCH schools (form the initiative „Schulen: Partner der Zukunft“) and German universities. Universities in Germany should include PASCH schools in their international relations and show the schools and their students and graduates ways to Germany and to study there. Subsequently, PASCH graduates are to be motivated to take up studies in Germany and supported in successfully completing them.
Main objective of the programme/policy
BIDS aims to contribute to encourage graduates from PASCH-schools to study in Germany and to graduate successfully. This is to strengthen the ties between Germany and the home country and to build on the German foreign cultural and educational strategeis that relate to schools.
Specific objective of the programme/policy
Further aspects of the programme are directed towards networking and exchange of information and knowledge. BIDS thus contributes to intensify the bonds beetween GErmany and partner regions and exends these towards schools.
